Our products are built for ice hockey, but the game is bigger than the rink. RD Hockey Works directs its charitable work across the broader hockey community, funding inline and ball hockey programs so more players, in more places, get their shot at the sport.

Two brothers. One mission.
RD Hockey Works begins in 1992, when co-founder Tony DiBiccaro was born with an immediate advantage in life: an older brother, Bob Ruediger, who shared his passion for hockey. Growing up in a modest western Pennsylvanian home, the brothers spent most of their free time skating on ponds, playing street hockey, and joining increasingly competitive teams, which drew both to California University of Pennsylvania for its hockey program.
In 2012, a group of Cal U players set out to make great hockey wax accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level or location. Jack's Hockey Wax was founded, bringing a true "tacky" wax to market for the first time, and within a few years it was lining Pittsburgh pro shops and sponsoring the National Women's Hockey League's All Star game.
The brand went global in 2018. Living in South Korea ahead of the Pyeongchang Olympics, Bob connected Jack's Hockey Wax to the South Korean National Ice Hockey team, along with Korean youth and recreational players.
Tony later bought out the original co-founders, but COVID-19 stalled his plans to grow globally. That changed in 2022, when Bob returned home, helped relaunch the website, and stayed on as a partner with a refined mission: make every form of hockey more accessible and affordable. A second base in Seattle took the brand nationwide.
In 2024, the brothers established RD Hockey Works LLC, bringing Jack's Hockey Wax under a parent company, launching JHW Custom, and creating room to grow into new lines, including software.
